November Update

Mon Nov 9, 2009, 6:37 AM
Ok so down to the basics

Since I last posted I've been making many heroclix trades, trying to aquire some of my key wants out of the game. Since I will be taking part in certain open format competitions I am no longer restricting myself to tournament legal figs.

I have switched my major to Marketing. My thought behind the change was as follows.
I've been in college for four years and I haven't even completed a two-year degree yet, it feels like a wasted four years. Seeing as how difficult community college has been for me, I am starting to think I will not be completeing a four-year degree. Because of this I decided to change my two-year program from an Associate of Arts to Marketing. An associate of arts is fine if you are going to complete a four-year degree, otherwise it makes you look like an indcisive asshole who went to college for the sole purpose of putting off the real world for 2-4 years. So it seemed as though it would be beneficial to get a real degree and not some bullshit one. With this degree and perhaps one-day a completed 4-year marketing degree hopefully I can find a career doing something with comic books or maybe even working for WizKids. But I just don't want to end up like the people I currently work with, having a two-year degree in bullshit and working full-time at a Giant Eagle Grocers.

Concerning the girl I mentioned in a previous post. It has come to naught, not by way of rejection but by way of personal epiphany. I just do not believe it would benefit either party if I began dating an 18-year-old college freshman. I'm almost 22, I should be graduating this year but am not. Also my financial situation barely supports myself let alone the cost of a girlfriend. At the same time, I feel as though I would have very little in common with an 18-year-old, also my current melancholy may only drag her down with me. Also if I was going to date a geeky girl, I would much rather date one who liked superhero comics and not Manga. I am open to the idea of her being a friend, but that is all.

Who can take your debt?
Make it go away?
While the bank goes under from the mortgage you can't pay? Obama man can!!!!

So I have this weird theory that I hope is proven right, and that is that Obama was put into power by Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity for the soul purpose of making the Democrats look bad (as if they can't do that themselves) and getting rid of Nancy Pelosee and most of the democrats in power. I mean how else does it make sense that a man thought to be a messaiah of america is such a total douche-wash..oh yeah cause the entire election was solely about race. God I hope he doesn't win a second time.

So I'm still uber-excited about the new upcoming heroclix set, it'll be out next week.

I've been doing pretty well in my heroclix games with Tim, he's getting kinda pissed cause he's not used to losing to me, I can't tell if it's cause he's slipping, I'm getting better, or if it's just the much more expensive figs I own, maybe a combination of the three. Anyway it'll be nice to see how my skills stack up against the guys at the tournament next thursday.

the tournament is open format meaning you can use any guy from any set. 500 point teams each with a general who is leading your force he can cost any number of points you want, the rest of the team must be 70 points or under. If your general dies then the game is over.

I'm going to use a guy called Magog as my General, for those of you not familiar with Magog I suggest you look him up he's pretty wicked in the comics. The rest of the guys on the team are all there to boost his stats, heal him, or just get in the way of people smashing him. Should be a pretty good team.

So I was having a discussion with a friend about the shroud of turin, about how it may have been made by Davinchi using his own face and what a laugh it must have been for a heretic to have christians everywhere worship his face, and I decided I want to do that, I want Christians to worship my face.
I'll get to heaven, and St. Peter will be there and will say, "Sean, you got millions of christians to worship your face as a god, that's idolitry." I'll say "so are you not going to let me in?" He'll say "Oh no. you worshipped Jesus so you're golden, but just so you know if someone comes up to you and says "my son's in hell because of you" that's why."

I wish I had more people to play heroclix with outside of tournaments seeing as right now, I play with Tim..and that's it. I was hoping my friend Tommy would get into the game but he has no interest in it. maybe I'll try to get Dan or EB into it, dang I need friends I have more in common with.

hey!

I'm liking all the Heromachine stuff, lookin' good.

I'm making a little "superhero universe" on my page, with a city map and a few characters of my own. I think a few other people are interested in contributing; you wouldn't care to contribute a few people and help flesh out my fictional little realm, would you?
