Ok so I'm in my second week of fall quarter. Hopefully this will be my last quarter at columbus State. I am hoping to get accepted into OSU for winter or Spring Quarter, though if that doesn't work out I am considering completeing my degree at Franklin University. Though as far as college goes my preference would be towards OSU and a typical college experience in perfect honesty if I could skip college all together and begin a lucrative career today I do it in a heartbeat.
I hate college, supposedly it's the best years of your life, if that's the case then I should kill myself because as far as school is concerned they've been the worst. I'll admit I have had fun with my group of friends, a lot of fun, but that in no way has anything to do with school and I most likely would have had the same experiences with them had I been working a full time job. I hate Columbus State and I hated Bowling Green, so to assume that OSU will be any different is a big gamble. Still it's one I hope to make. I am taking a Business Communication class and two upper level english classes to boost my GPA to better appeal to a 4-year institution.

In other news, Halloween is just around the corner and I am happy two say I have my costume done, I gave up on the Rorschach idea and briefly considered going as Clark Kent aka Superman but have instead opted for a more obscure masked mystery man who until such a time as I attend a halloween party shall remain nameless.

In Heroclix news the game is coming back, the company has been purchased and work has resumed on the game, the upcoming Hammer of Thor set is due to release in November and already the Collosal Fig "Thor's Mighty Chariot" is available for Purchase on Amazon.com, I already got mine, he is awesome. I'm so happy heroclix is back.

Been Playing Ultimate Alliance 2 with Tim and Dani lately it's a fun game, could stand to have a longer storyline and a few more characters but it's altogether a better game than the original Ultimate Alliance.
Played Batman Arkham Asylum a bit when I rented it from Blockbuster, it's a masterpiece of gaming and superherodom. I can't wait to buy it.

New DC animated universe DVD comes out tomorrow, it's based of of one of my favorite comics "Batman/Superman public enemies" you can bet I'll be getting a copy.

Planning on having a movie night on Halloween after Trick r' Treat so if you are reading this you are probably invited.

Wow that was kinda fun,

Anyway lots of stuff been going on as of late, school, work, video games, it seems I spend most of my free time either writing out my story for M&M, playing Left 4 Dead, or Heroclixing, god how I love heroclix. Just the other day I bought some more, I hadn't bought any clix since the company disbanded but I just felt like getting some more, so I bought a brick. inside where a Superman-Prime (take that Tim) also Chang Tzu, another Robin (score) and quite a few other figures. I've been making teams as of late I've made either 5 or 6 I can't remember which all of them 1000 points. I won the last game I played and OMG what a victory it was, didn't lose a single one of my key players. Anyway that's what's been going on as of late, !!cool beans!!

Ok so it's been a few weeks, time for an update.

Classes are the suck, not so much in that they're really hard (though Anthropology certainly is) it's more that they are insanely boring, at least last quarter I had a class I was interested in. I can't wait for summer. I'm going to apply at my local Borders to work there friday-sunday and work the other days at Giant Eagle, I'm not super psyched about working 40+ hour weeks but I'll really need the money when I transfer to OSU next year. Plus if I work the weekends at Borders instead of Giant Eagle, I'll be much more relaxed because I hate working weekends at Giant Eagle, the customers are the suck

In other news I'm still playing City of Heroes, I've taken a break from Captain Fancy and have instead been playing as my hero "Expendable Lad" which is where I got the idea from, and my Villain "Dauchowler" Expendable Lad is Level 16 and Dauchowler is Level 14. they are similar characters in manner of play style with minor differences, still they work well for playing solo so that makes it fun. Yesterday when I started playing Expnd Lad was level 13, 2 hours and two group missions later he was up to lvl 16 which is no small feat, this made me happy because now he can fly.

In other games, I'm almost done with my storyline for Mutants and Masterminds, it's a simplistic yet enjoyable story that is part my own creation and part taken loosely from one of my favorite comic book storylines, I'm finishing the writing down of the story, then making character sheets and finally character illustration cards using the CoH character creator and photoshop. Once we've played the game I will post a comprehensive outline of the story as well as al the characters, but seeing as most of the people who view my stuff on this will be playing the game, I don't want to give anything away.

New Dynasty Warriors comes out tomorrow, it's for the PSP I traded in some games today and pre-bought it, I pick it up tomorrow should be neat.

I've been thinking alot lately about dating and how I never do it. I feel now more than ever a desire to start dating and perhaps become close to someone, the problem is that I lack both charm and any kind of skill-set needed for romantic conquest. Also while there are possibly someones I have in mind, each one is a longshot, and I also have yet to meet anyone even remotely interesting who catched my fancy at my college. For the first time in my entire life I feel lonely and it is by far a very unpleasant feeling. I fear sometimes that I may have missed out or may be missing a crucial mental/behavioral trait that allows me to connect with someone in a romantic way, seeing as until recently I have never even been slightly interested in dating and to be honest regarded romantic love as a sign of weakness. That combined with my unusual and less than mainstream interest-set makes finding someone who is both mentally compatable and also physically attractive enough to be a bit of a conundrum. Hopefully my transfer to a real college next winter will remedy this situation.

There is a certain type of malaise that seems to have swept over me, one that keeps me from caring about much, in fact I find it quite hard to keep studying and keep going to work, in fact anything at all hard or unpleasant is incredibly difficult for me to stick with. I become distracted easily and this is in no way a easy thing for one with ADHD to deal with. I just wish my life was more exciting that I did exciting things, that I was happy, but I'm not happy, I might not be miserable like I once was, but I am certainly not happy. My life is missing something but I'm not sure what it is. Hopefully I'll find out soon.

As far as everything else goes, I'll probably be going to see the new Wolverine movie with my Dad since all my friends have already watched the leaked version. Other than that not a whole lot is going on in my life.

So I'm sitting in the computer lab her at Columbus State cause my math prof is a no-show and I have another class in two hours when all of a sudden an idea hits me. An idea for a storyline for the comic book I want so desperately to write.
I think about comic books and how they all put their focus on either a hero, villain, or anti-hero and follow him throughout a particular set of events featuring recurring characters, enemies and allies until a conclusion at which point the process begins again.

My idea is similar but with a twist.
Meet Expendable Lad, sidekick extrordinaire. Gifted with the power of near invulnerability he is the perfect human shield, he can take a punch, a bullet, even a blast from a death ray. He has worked with and been trained by all the great heroes, yet due to many factors including his age, experience, abilities, and whatever else he is still just a sidekick who never stays with one hero for too long before finding another in an attempt to complete his training and become a full fledged hero.

The comic will be a superhero/comedy in theme with each storyline pairing Expendable Lad with a different mentor figure who big surprise doesn't respect him as an equal. Not only will we see the hectic hero side of Expendable Lad but also his struggles as a young adult in either a high school or college setting.

So far this is just a rough idea but I think it could be great fun to try, I'll need a co-writer as well as an artist or two to pull it off but that's something I'll get to probably this summer.
